This Week on Treehouse Masters: Kodo Donates Educational Materials to Flint, MI Nature Preserve

Last summer, Treehouse Masters approached us with a proposal: they were on a mission to create “Nature’s Super Headquarters” for a community in need and wanted Kodo to be involved. We were thrilled that they considered us to help furnish this outdoor classroom in Flint, Michigan, and a Wind Tunnel, Play Silks, and a Slate Tablet were sent out to the Treehouse Masters Team at the For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum that same week.

“When we were contacted by Treehouse Masters last summer, we knew we had to get involved,” says Chris Hume, Founder of Kodo Kids. “We saw this as a great opportunity to support the children of Flint, Michigan in a really unique and impactful way. The team at Treehouse Masters embodies a lot of what we believe in – their passion, creativity, teamwork, and talent for beautiful and functional design really speak to us. We can’t wait to see what the show’s host, Pete Nelson, has created for this deserving community.”

The Treehouse Masters Team has completed construction and For-Mar is ready to show the world their new nature treehouse in next Friday’s episode! Nestled in the woods overlooking a creek, the treehouse at For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum will serve as “Nature’s Super Headquarters” for a community still reeling from the water crisis that began in Flint in 2014. The treehouse has already received over 28,000 visitors and hosts educational programs, field trips, schools, scout groups, the local community, and more. The treehouse will welcome friends of all ages who come to learn about nature, play with the educational materials, and immerse themselves in the treetop canopies of Michigan.

To catch Kodo on Treehouse Masters, tune into Animal Planet this Friday, January 13th at 10pm EST / 9pm Central!
